The US Army started using parachutes to deliver combat power to battlefields over seventy years ago during World War II, and it all began right here where this paratrooper is seconds away from landing on Fryer Dropzone at Fort Benning, Georgia.  The Basic Airborne Course takes three weeks to complete – Ground Week, Tower Week, and Jump week.  Students make five jumps to graduate.  Daylight jumps like this one without weapon or rucksack are called “Hollywood” jumps because they’re easier but one of the jumps has to be made at night, and one or more with combat equipment.  Airborne, all the way!  Especially on a bikini...
